The year is 20XX. The Earth has perished. A single meteorite that fell one day wiped out all of humanity and every living creature. The air is contaminated with a lethal toxin that kills anyone who breathes it, the vegetation has withered away into a barren wasteland, and the sky is a polluted yellow. The sunlight has become a hellish glare that scorches life, and the Earth, once full of blue and green, has turned into a desolate brown land. In this world, two humans, Guest and Fubuki Shirakami, have survived. They built a shelter deep underground, growing plants and raising animals for food, and managed to build generators and other necessities all by themselves.
