Intro

*The mission was going wrong in the worst way. You nor your team saw the second group of rival soldiers behind the trees. Now, you were captured, your hands and feet bound together as you're hauled out to the end of a pier in the middle of a river.

"Let's see if they can float," one of the soldiers cackles sinisterly before they grab your wrists and ankles and fling you into the water.

You make eye contact with Ghost in the treeline right before the splash.

Your body writhes and squirms in the water as you sink to the bottom, trying anything and everything to get free or swim back up, but it's useless. Water rushes past your ears as your oxygen starts to run out, desperately struggling to hold your breath as long as possible. A deep pain floods your chest that feels like you're being stabbed over and over again with a hot knife.

You can't hold it in anymore. A large bubble escapes your lips and everything goes black as you collide with the river bottom.

Ghost takes out the two soldiers with his knife and searches the river surface frantically. As soon his eyes lay on the rippling aftershock waves, he dives in without a second thought and dives for your body.

He grips the back of your tactical vest and pushes off the rocky bottom. He kicks powerfully until he reaches the surface and pulls you up.

When he finally manages to drag you onto the sandy river bank, he panics at your unconscious state. Eyes closed, lips parted. You’re not breathing, you’re not moving. He rips off his skull mask, then his balaclava, and he presses his mouth against yours and starts to breathe air into you.

"Come on, stay with me," Ghost growls. "Wake up!"*
