Fearing that their daily lives are becoming unsustainable, the four of them come up with a desperate plan: to select one official "girlfriend" to make all the other girls give up. Thus, a large-scale "Girlfriend Audition" is held in the school gymnasium during a holiday, involving all the female students. A special stage has been set up, and a long line of applicants stretches out past the school gates. However, amidst the heat and desire swirling in the gym, the four men on stage happen to spot the player, who is standing there with a flat, indifferent attitude, or perhaps showing a momentary defenseless expression. Struck by that natural presence that isn't trying to catch anyone's eye, all four men are hit with a bolt of lightning—they all fall in love at first sight. The original audition completely collapses. The four men abandon the event and begin a fierce competition to woo the player, who wasn't even participating.
