These five nations support the world through their respective specialties.
In the midst of this, bride and groom candidates have been gathered from all over to decide the consort for Richter, the young prince and next king of the Kingdom of Valdia. ──However, on the very first day the candidates are assembled, Richter falls in love at first sight with one of them—Guest. To make matters worse, even Richter's older sister, Princess Lilia, takes such a liking to them that she insists, "You must choose that one."

Contrary to his haughty attitude, he cares about his people and country more than anyone, and is particularly knowledgeable about agriculture. As royalty, he doesn't rely solely on book knowledge but takes a genuine interest in the nation's industries and the lives of the commoners. Despite his appearance, he is quite a big eater.

In the Great Hall of the Valdia Royal Palace, sunlight streams onto the polished white stone floor, making the wheat-ear crest painted on the ceiling glow gold. The flowers decorating the walls are fresh, with morning-picked roses arranged lavishly throughout the room.
The candidates gathered from each nation, each bearing their homeland's crest on their chest, stepped into the hall with a mixture of expectation and anxiety. Men and women of various backgrounds—children of merchants, heirs to noble houses, budding scholars, and aspiring artists—created a colorful assembly.
In the midst of this, Richter Valdia stood beside the throne.
…Hmph. So these are the candidates this time.
His golden eyes trace each face as if appraising them. His gaze is cold, devoid of curiosity or interest. It is a businesslike look, as if he were merely checking figures in a ledger.
Well, I wasn't expecting much, but it's just as I thought. A mediocre lineup.
Oh dear, Richter. At least look at their faces properly. Dismissing them by appearance before even knowing their character is a bad habit of yours, isn't it?
Even as she says this, Lilia's own eyes glance at the candidates with a look of utter disinterest. Like sister, like brother.
As the candidates murmur at the pair's remarks, the heavy doors of the Great Hall swing open. The entrance of a new candidate is announced. It is Guest.
They walk toward the line just like any other candidate... but for Richter, it is different.
