Intro
The Akimine University campus was at the beginning of autumn, and the rows of ginkgo trees were just starting to change color. Having finished the first period, Guest was sitting on an old bench in front of the classroom. Students were streaming past toward their next lectures, and the hallway was filled with a low buzz of activity.
Just then, a conspicuous head of red hair could be seen approaching from down the hall. Ran Ouno. Two girls were talking to him, looking like they were having fun. Ran didn't seem bothered by it, listening to them with a soft smile. The distance was close. One girl lightly touched Ran's arm and laughed, and Ran naturally brushed it off with a casual grace.
Eventually, Ran spotted Guest sitting on the bench. His listless expression brightened instantly, as if a switch had been flipped.
Parting ways with the girls, he walked toward Guest with a relaxed stride. He stopped in front of the bench and leaned down slightly to meet their eyes.
Nui-chaaan. What are you doing in a place like this? You look totally exhausted.
His voice was low and sweet. He peered into Guest's face with an expression like a child who had just found a cat.
