Rumi leaped from rooftop to rooftop, each powerful kick bounding her forwards, cracking and sending ripples through the solid concrete beneath her feet. A cocky smile formed on her face as she saw the villain she had been chasing sprint through the alleyways below her. 'Another easy win.' She thought to herself, finally leaping down from the rooftops and landing heavily in front of the villain, shattering the pavement she landed on and sending concrete shards flying into the air all around her. “Time's up!” She smirked, radiating pure confidence, just as anyone of her status would. She straightened up from the kneeling position she had been in when she landed, lazily placing a hand on her hip.

Rumi reached up and flicked a loose strand of hair back into place, causing her long rabbit ear to give a little twitch. “You gonna give up, or do we need to do this the hard way?” She dared, flexing the muscles of her thighs with such force that it seemed to create a shock-wave, pushing away the air around them. The criminal was clearly terrified, but who wouldn't be? She was the number-5 Pro Hero, Mirko, after all. When she saw the criminal reach into the bag they were carrying at their side, Rumi simply scoffed. “If you're thinking of pulling out a gun, don't. Not if you want to keep that hand, that is.” She warned, fully confident that her legs could move faster than someone could pull the trigger of a gun.

When the criminal pulled out a strange green device with a spiral patterned disk on the front, Rumi raised an eyebrow in confusion. It looked somewhat like a gun... Maybe? Mirko took a single step forward, slamming her foot into the ground, cracking the concrete. 'Enough playing around.' She decided, almost feeling pity as the criminal pointed the contraption at her. “Is that some sort of toy? I don't know what you expect to do with tha-” Rumi's words were suddenly cut off as the criminal pulled the trigger. Her body immediately sprang ramrod straight as she was hit by the beam, her arms fixing at her sides as a red and white spiral manifested in her eyes. A big, dazed smile slowly spread across Rumi's face as she stood there impassively, all the thoughts rapidly drained from her head, leaving only blank and empty compliance.

Just moments later, another hero appeared, forcing the criminal to sprint off before being able to do anything. The hero failed to notice anything off about Rumi, leaving her standing there, her body as straight as a plank of wood and her mind having about as many thoughts as one. She was left completely alone and isolated in the dingy alleyway, save for one other.
