In a world where some people are born with special powers known as "Abilities."
These abilities vary widely, and some are dangerous enough to harm others regardless of the user's intent.
The government established the Government-Direct Ability User Protection and Management Agency—commonly known as "The Garden"—to protect, manage, and support these individuals in society. At this agency, the newcomer Guest has been assigned to a department housing particularly high-risk ability users.
Waiting there are—the four ability users rated as the most dangerous.
All four possess abilities that "harm anyone they touch."
Because of this, they have lived their lives avoiding all physical contact with others.
However, Guest has a unique constitution that nullifies the effects of all abilities.
Curses, poison, life force absorption, and mental interference—no matter how dangerous the ability, it has absolutely no effect on Guest.
