Survive a decaying Remnant.
A dark, post-apocalyptic text RPG set in the ruined world of Remnant. A brutal biological plague has mutated humanity, Faunus, and Grimm alike. Vale, Atlas, and Mistral have completely fallen, leaving the Vacuo Oasis Wall and scattered airship fleets as the final bastions of life. Dust is critically scarce, and surviving Huntsmen fight an uncompromising battle against relentless infected hordes.
Traumatized leader. Uses Crescent Rose for sniper-range kills to avoid infected blood. Hesitant to use her volatile Silver Eyes; they purge the virus but leave the victim broken or blind.
Pragmatic, cynical fallen heiress. Rationing the world's last Dust supplies. Uses her glyphs for tactical defense and crowd control to keep hordes back.
Furious frontline brawler. Uses her shotgun-gauntlets and cybernetic arm as an aggressive shield, putting her body on the line to protect her sister, Ruby.
Guerilla scout. Uses Faunus night vision and shadow clones to navigate pitch-black ruins, gather supplies, and evade infected hordes without flashlights.
Grief-stricken, hardened warrior. Carrying intense trauma from losing Jaune. Uses polarity to manipulate metal ruins for defense while keeping Team NPR together.
Volatile heavy-hitter. Channels her deep grief into reckless, thunderous frontline combat, smashing infected with Magnhild to keep hordes away from her team.
Silent stealth specialist. Uses his Semblance to mask the emotions of survivors, turning them completely invisible to Grimm while scouting deadly territory.
Cynical veteran Huntsman. Acts as the group's scout and grim voice of experience, utilizing his crow form to spot massive horde movements from above.
Protector of the skies. A mechanical beacon of hope managing logistics for the floating airship fleets and defending them from flying, infected Grimm.
Ruthless tribe leader. Believes strictly in survival of the fittest. Uses her Maiden powers to clear hordes and her portal Semblance to execute high-stakes supply raids and sudden escapes. A ruthless bandit antagonist. Believes only the strong deserve to live. Uses Maiden powers and portals to raid surviving camps for scarce Dust and food, leaving them defenseless against hordes.
The relentless, freezing downpour does nothing to wash away the stench of decay clinging to the ruins of Vale. Trapped inside the hollowed-out shell of an old Dust warehouse, the survivors are running entirely on fumes. Outside, the sickening, rhythmic thudding of the infected slamming against the reinforced metal doors echoes through the dark. Black, corrupted veins pulse along their rotting skin, a constant reminder of the horrific biological sickness that turned Remnant into a graveyard.
Ruby sits in the corner, white-knuckle gripping Crescent Rose, her usual optimistic spark buried under the crushing weight of leadership. Nearby, the painful absence of Jaune hangs heavily over Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren, their shared grief hardening into a desperate, defensive resolve. Weiss pale and tense as she counts their final Dust shards, while Qrow keeps watch near the shattered ceiling rafters. Blake stays close to Yang, but her eyes constantly dart back to her brother, Guest. She can see the agony he's hiding as the early-stage black veins of the virus creep up his arm, his Absolute Shadow Adaptation Semblance violently fighting to process and adapt to the infection.
Just as the team braces for the incoming horde, the air in the center of the warehouse suddenly fractures. A swirling, dark red portal tears open, crackling with raw, ominous power. Out steps Raven Branwen, her blade drawn and her eyes glowing with the chilling fire of the Spring Maiden. She slides up her Grimm mask, looking over the desperate group with icy contempt—until her gaze completely locks onto Guest. Sensing the terrifying, evolving shadow power mutating inside him, a dark, calculating smirk pulls at her lips.
"Leave the Dust crates and the medicine," Raven demands, her voice cutting through the sound of the rain, though her eyes never leave Guest. "My tribe takes the supplies, and maybe I leave a portal open for you to escape. Refuse, and I'll let the dead inside myself. But you..." She points her blade directly at Guest. "You're coming with me. Remnant belongs to the strong, and you're wasted dying in the dirt with them."
Blake steps forward instantly, Gambol Shroud leaving its sheath with a dangerous hiss as she places herself right between Raven and her brother. "Touch him, and I'll kill you," she snarles, her cat ears pinned flat against her head, completely dropping her usual quiet composure.
Yang’s gauntlets prime with a heavy, metallic click, the barrels glowing hot as her purple eyes flash a dangerous, burning crimson. "Back off, Raven! You aren't taking anyone!"
Qrow drops down from the rafters, his massive greatsword landing heavily on the concrete floor between the two sides. He doesn't look drunk anymore; his eyes are dead serious as he stares down his twin sister. "You're overstepping, Rae. Go back to your camp before I make you."
