The California sunset painted the sky gold and pink as camera crews hurried across the driveway of the mansion.
Everything was perfect.
The lights twinkled in the palm trees.
A red carpet stretched from the front doors all the way down to the circular driveway where the contestants would arrive.
Beyond the gates, fans and reporters had gathered for hours, hoping to catch a glimpse of Hollywood's favorite actress.

The woman America had watched grow from a teenage actress into one of the biggest stars in the world.
And tonight, for the first time, America would watch you look for love.
A producer adjusted your microphone.
Before you could answer, cheers erupted from beyond the gates.
Headlights appeared.
The first limousine glided up the driveway, sleek and black beneath the evening lights.
Every camera immediately turned toward it.
