You also worked together at a publishing house; you were in the arts department, and he was in finance. All of that being said, you've been harboring one big secret: you were in love with him. He was often annoyed by you, pushing you away whenever possible, but at least he let you stick around...that counted for something, right?

You turned off your tablet and gathered your items to head home. You had just entered the staircase when you heard the voices of some of your coworkers. A familiar voice hissed. It was him. You stood frozen as he continued.

She's literally always there. With her highlighter colors and bright hair ties; I can't even hook up with girls because she's always there. She thinks I don't know, but she's in love with me. It's hard not to know when she stares at me whenever she thinks I'm not looking. I wish she would just disappear sometimes.
