Koma Komawari A high-spirited kitsune girl. Usually, she has fox ears and two tails, but when she disguises herself as a human, they vanish completely, making her look like an ordinary girl. As she trains, her number of tails will increase; once she reaches nine, she will be a full-fledged kitsune. Thus, having nine tails is her dream. She has a very loud voice. Appearance: Orange, medium-length hair with outer-flipped ends and streaks of red, yellow, green, and blue. She wears a small bun on the left side. She wears easy-to-move-in Japanese clothing with a mini-skirt and a fox mask on the side of her head. Abilities: Can manipulate pale blue flames (foxfire). She also has the ability to sense the presence of "monsters" and pinpoint their location. She speaks with a constant energy, as if every sentence ends with an exclamation mark! First person: Koma Address terms: Everyone by their name (no honorifics)

Tsukuri Nemukumo A siren girl famous for "bewitching people with her song." However, while she is indeed a gifted singer, she is incredibly lazy and does nothing but sleep. Hearing her sing is considered a stroke of luck. She has a few scales on her cheeks and knees, which disappear when she takes human form. She can live normally without being in water. Appearance: Long white hair with light purple and mint green inner coloring. She wears silver accessories on her neck and hair and sports an oversized hoodie. She has a favorite eye mask she always uses. Abilities: Controls others with her singing voice. She can also manipulate wind, plants, and trees. While capable of something close to brainwashing, she finds it a hassle and rarely wants to do it. She has a downer, calm way of speaking. First person: I (casual/feminine) Address terms: Everyone by their name (no honorifics)

Liz Amayo A rain-woman (ame-onna) who brings the rain, though sometimes it won't fall when she wants it to, and other times it pours when she isn't even trying. She loves frogs. At first glance, she seems like a cool, mature woman, but she is actually a clumsy airhead with a bright personality. She often teases Tsukuri, much to the latter's annoyance. Appearance: Beautiful long black hair with a single long green cowlick and streaks. She wears a classical yet sleek dress with a color scheme reminiscent of a piano. Abilities: Can make it rain (though she hasn't mastered it). She can also manipulate water to attack. If the water is rainwater, her attack power increases. She has a cheerful, friendly way of speaking that doesn't match her appearance. Her catchphrase is "Whyyy?!" First person: Amayo-san Address terms: Everyone with -chan

Nufu Nijipuka A kraken girl—a terrifying octopus yokai... or she would be, but as an apprentice, she is weak and not very strong. Four small tentacles grow from her waist area, but they disappear when she disguises herself as a human. Since coming to the human world, she has become obsessed with drawing. Appearance: Pink bob hair with two cute buns. She has a pastel look dominated by white and pink, giving off a cute and youthful impression. She looks like a flapjack octopus. Abilities: Manipulates tentacles. However, because they are weak, she trained and gained the ability to "manipulate light." She confuses enemies with flashes and rainbow lights. She is pop-like and energetic, but relatively soft-spoken. First person: I (polite) Address terms: Everyone with -chan

Rei Yugiri An enra-enra girl. While the legends say these yokai are "made of smoke and mist," Rei usually takes a normal human form. Conversely, she can transform into a mist-like state. She is androgynous and cool but also a clumsy klutz. She is on the same wavelength as Liz. Appearance: Light blue wolf cut hair, oversized white-based clothes, and short pants for ease of movement, giving an androgynous impression. She wears black, white, and red goggles on her head. Abilities: Can turn into mist and fights using guns created from her spiritual energy. She is the strongest combatant among the seven yokai. Contrary to her appearance, she can speak in a lively and energetic way. She becomes calm during combat. First person: I (soft/masculine) Address terms: Everyone by their name (no honorifics)

Mahoro Kano A "stray deer" ghost girl who leads people astray in the forest, but she is so kind-hearted that she never actually does it. She has deer antlers. She is a bit bad at disguising herself as a human, so small antlers always remain; she hides them with a hat. She is pure and very gentle. Appearance: Brown bob hair with deer ears and antlers. She wears a girly light blue dress with strawberry motifs and a red ribbon. She wears a white beret to hide her horns. Abilities: Can cause targets to lose their way. She can also deploy barriers for fighting monsters. Additionally, she can use healing magic, serving as a support member. She has a laid-back, soothing way of speaking. She is overwhelmingly quiet and a very good girl. First person: I (polite) Address terms: Everyone with -chan

Aoi Mitama A "spirit turtle" (reiki) girl. Though legends say they live for over a thousand years, Aoi is still a low-ranking turtle who hasn't lived long at all. She has a dark green shell and bushy hair that looks like a tail, which are hidden when she transforms into a human. She is energetic and childish, but has a mature side as well. Appearance: Green twin-tails long enough to reach her feet, pink streaks, seaweed-like ribbons, and a black mini-skirt. Her sleeves are long, usually hiding her hands. Abilities: Can predict the future. Currently, she fights using physical attacks with a wooden sword she found at the shrine, but it seems a full-fledged spirit turtle can cause natural disasters, so she is in training. She speaks with an energy level somewhere between Koma and Nufu. Sometimes she is incredibly hyper. Her emotions are very volatile. First person: I (polite) Address terms: Everyone with -chan
