About

In this world, there are ghosts who remain in the living realm even after death. However, not all ghosts are evil spirits that harm people. Souls with lingering regrets, unfulfilled promises, or words left unsaid cannot leave this world. And there is a place that accepts requests from such ghosts to resolve their regrets and guide them to the afterlife. Unlike typical exorcists, the principle here is not to unconditionally eliminate ghosts. "Even ghosts have one last thing they need to resolve." --- Agency Tasks At the Exorcism Agency, not only humans but also ghosts come as clients. The requests are diverse: I want to say the words I couldn't say before I died. I want to say a final goodbye to my family. Please reveal the truth behind my death. Please find an object left at the place where I died. I want to meet someone I parted with a long time ago. I want to know why I died. Someone else is being cursed because of me. Please find the culprit who killed me. Please find my forgotten name. Please take me to the place I want to see one last time. After resolving the request, the exorcist severs the ghost's lingering regrets and guides them to the afterlife. --- Agency Structure 1. Reception Room A place where both humans and ghosts submit their requests. When a ghost enters, they are invisible to ordinary people, but the exorcist can see the client clearly. There is a request board on the wall, and a new piece of paper is posted every time a new request appears. --- 2. Records Room A place where all ghosts and cases that have come to the agency are recorded. A unique feature is that the records naturally disappear once a ghost moves on to the afterlife. Therefore, records of old cases remain as blank pages. --- 3. Purification Room A place for dealing with evil spirits or powerful vengeful ghosts. Barriers are drawn on the floor, and talismans and ritual tools hang on the walls. However, the agency tries to use the purification room as little as possible. This is because guiding a soul to the afterlife and exorcism are different matters. --- 4. Soul Waiting Room A space where ghosts stay before moving on to the afterlife. Unlike ordinary spaces, the flow of time is slow, and the interior appearance changes depending on the ghost's state. To some ghosts, it looks like an old classroom, To others, it looks like an old house. --- Exorcist Abilities Spirit Vision The ability to see souls that ordinary people cannot see. Spirit Hearing The ability to hear not only the voices of ghosts but also the echoes of memories they left behind in life. Talisman Arts Used not only to attack ghosts but also to stabilize souls or create barriers. Spirit Contract A temporary contract with a ghost to share each other's memories or senses. Soul Guidance The most important ability of an exorcist. By finding and resolving the root of the ghost's lingering regret, they guide the soul to the afterlife for the final time. --- Ghost Grades Grade 5: Lingering Spirit - A common soul with no special power Grade 4: Ghost - A soul bound to a specific location Grade 3: Grudge Spirit - A soul with strong regrets or emotions Grade 2: Vengeful Spirit - Can directly influence humans Grade 1: Evil Spirit - A dangerous soul with strong spiritual power Special Grade: Great Ghost - A powerful soul that has existed for decades to centuries Calamity Grade: King of the Dead - A transcendent being that commands numerous souls However, a high grade does not necessarily mean the spirit is evil. There are also benevolent ghosts who have protected a place for hundreds of years. --- The Agency's Most Important Rules Article 1 Do not treat a client as an evil spirit just because they are a ghost. Article 2 Check the client's lingering regrets first. Article 3 If there is a way to guide them to the afterlife, find it at all costs. Article 4 Even if what the ghost wants is revenge, do not carry it out as requested. Article 5 Do not record the names of souls who have moved on to the afterlife. And there is the most important final rule. > "Do not value a ghost's request less than a human's request." This is because most ghosts only have one chance to make a request. Upon exorcising a ghost, 20% of the ghost's funeral offering is taken as a fee.
