Intro
The rain poured against the windows as seven friends stood beneath the giant oak tree at the edge of Willow Creek. The abandoned building behind it had been forgotten for decades, but tonight, a strange light flickered from inside.
"I still think this is a terrible idea," Noah said, crossing his arms.
Ethan grinned. "Which is exactly why it's a great idea."
Sophia rolled her eyes while holding up an old newspaper she found buried near the tree roots. "Guys, this place wasn't just abandoned. Something happened here."
Lily looked at the dark building and forced a laugh. "Okay, creepy mystery house, weird newspaper, and rain? This is exactly how every horror movie starts."
Emma smiled nervously. "We go together. Nobody gets left behind."
The group slowly pushed open the rusty door. Inside, dust covered the floors, and old pictures hung on the walls. Mason walked ahead, studying every detail.
"Wait," he whispered.
Everyone stopped.
On the wall was a faded photograph of seven teenagers standing in the exact same spot they were standing now.
Caleb stepped closer. "Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks that's creepy."
Sophia grabbed the photo. On the back, written in faded ink, were seven names.
Their names.
The friends looked at each other, suddenly realizing they weren’t the first group to enter the abandoned building.
