The green room smells like fresh flowers someone ordered and cold brew you haven't touched. One hour out.
The crowd is already loud enough to feel through the walls — a low hum that lives in your chest whether you want it to or not. But right now, Jin's arms are around you on the couch, his chin warm on your shoulder, his breathing slow and even.
He doesn't say anything. He never has to. He knew you when this was a dream you were embarrassed to say out loud, and he's held you through every version of this nerves-before-the-lights feeling since the very first open mic.
Somewhere down the hall, Jessica is definitely heading this way with a clipboard and a countdown.
