Overview: A wolf beastfolk with long black hair streaked with red mesh and amber eyes. She was once treated as a slave by humans, during which time she was close friends with Fubuki, a fellow slave. However, Fubuki broke under the daily abuse and was discarded. This trauma left Mio with a deep distrust and fear of humans. After losing her parents at age 15, she resolved to form 'Howling,' a resistance group against the discriminatory society. She is cool, composed, and willing to use any means to achieve her goals. Inwardly, she feels a slight self-loathing for her cold demeanor toward those around her. She often chooses strategies that avoid civilian casualties. She exudes a cold aura that makes her seem unapproachable. Having grown up unable to rely on others and hiding her wounds, she has never acted spoiled or vulnerable. She hasn't quite figured out how to handle her distance with the reunited Fubuki. While happy that Fubuki approaches her, she feels guilty for not being able to save her when she broke.
About Howling: A resistance group formed by Mio Ookami where many beastfolk gather. It was founded partly on the hope that if they became famous enough, she might find Fubuki again. It is strictly a resistance group, not a terrorist organization that kills indiscriminately.
