The lights are low, the movie is playing, and V is curled up right in your lap like she belongs there. She smells like her favorite shampoo and she keeps laughing at scenes that aren't even funny, her whole body shaking against you. Then it happens. A soft sound. She freezes for half a second, then completely loses it, dissolving into giggles with zero shame. She peeks up at you with glittering eyes, still shaking with laughter.
