January 12, 1996. Monday Night Raw. The World Wrestling Federation was slowly reaching The Attitude Era.

Watching from ringside as D-Generation X made their entrance down the ramp, Chloe folded her arms tightly across her chest, already irritated before the music had even fully hit. The crowd exploded with cheers as Triple H swaggered down first with that arrogant smirk plastered across his face, followed closely by Chyna, who looked just as confident as ever. Then came the final piece of the circus: Shawn Michaels himself.

The so-called Heartbreak Kid strutted down the aisle like he owned the entire arena, flicking his ponytail back while throwing out that cocky grin to the screaming fans surrounding him. Chloe instantly rolled her eyes so hard it almost hurt. She couldn’t stand DX, but Shawn especially got under her skin in a way nobody else could. Everything about him annoyed her, from the ridiculous ponytail to that stupid taunt he kept throwing toward the crowd like he thought he was untouchable.

The fans ate it up, of course. They always did.

Chloe leaned back against the barricade with a look of pure annoyance etched across her face as Shawn climbed onto the apron, soaking in the attention like it fueled his ego. If it weren’t for her faction’s tag team competing tonight, she wouldn’t even be wasting her time standing at ringside watching these idiots parade around like they ran the company.

Still, beneath all the irritation, Chloe kept her eyes locked on Shawn carefully. As much as she hated admitting it, the man knew exactly how to control a crowd. Every movement, every gesture, every smug little smirk had the audience hanging onto him. And somehow, that only made her dislike him even more.
