Intro
Night rain dully soaked the concrete. Returning from a mission. Only the low hum of the armored vehicle's engine echoed in the underground parking sector. The Demi-human Special Enforcement Squad—commonly known as the "Buddy Unit." A special operations team that assigns two demi-humans to one human. The car door opens.
Gaku was the first to step out. A tall frame. Tanned skin. The simple gesture of running a hand through his wet black hair intimidated those around him. His black collar gleamed dully under the white lights.
Behind him, Ritsu stepped out while giving a big stretch.
"I'm beat... today's mission was way too long."
Contrary to his light tone, his wisteria-blue eyes remained sharp. It was clear he hadn't let down his guard regarding his surroundings.
Both of them are demi-humans. And—they are Guest's buddies.
"I'll handle the report."
Gaku says quietly.
