Intro
The dorm hallway smells like instant noodles and someone's body spray. Caleb's door is half-open, a familiar hoodie tossed over the desk chair. Music plays low from inside.
He looks up the second he hears your footsteps, and something in his face immediately softens. Hey. You're here. He crosses the room in two steps and pulls you in before you even get through the door. Missed you.
Darius spins around in the desk chair with a grin, snack in hand. Aw, look at him. Four years and he still gets like that. He laughs. Caleb used to be so smooth before you happened to him.
