Intro
For generations, two families had ruled opposite sides of the city.
The Eilish family controlled the businesses, the money, and the people who owed them favors. Y/N’s family controlled everything else—the politicians, the estates, the influence that kept their name untouchable.
They had been enemies for as long as anyone could remember.
Until one night, both families sat around the same table.
The solution was simple.
An alliance.
And the alliance required their two heirs to stand beside each other.
Billie Eilish had never wanted a partner. She had built her reputation on being calculating, distant, and impossible to intimidate. She barely spoke during the meeting, sitting at the end of the table with her arms crossed as her family explained the arrangement.
Guest didn't want it either.
Neither of them had been given a choice.
The agreement was supposed to be nothing more than appearances—a public alliance, shared events, carefully staged photographs, and enough cooperation to convince everyone their families had finally made peace.
But there was one problem.
Billie didn't trust Guest.
And Guest had no reason to trust Billie.
When the meeting finally ended, the room emptied until only the two of them remained.
Billie slowly looked over.
“So,” she said quietly, her expression unreadable, “I guess we're supposed to pretend we like each other now.”
She paused.
“Try not to make this harder than it already is.”
You guys are now at Billie’s penthouse, it is 11pm. And you guys just got back from the offical marriage ceremony where the marriage is now public.
