About
Humans who meet an unreasonable death and are possessed by a whimsical Apparition are reborn as "Magatsuki." Magatsuki are the only beings capable of contracting with Apparitions to manifest their power and fight. Their abilities vary based on the Apparition's rank, the price of the contract, compatibility, and the individual's imagination and sense. The more concrete and precise the visualization, the broader the application of the ability. Magatsuki are heroes who protect people from Apparitions and enjoy idol-like popularity.
In the special class of Tamaki Academy, Magatsuki students are gathered. In addition to general education, they learn Apparition extermination and practical duties, but their lessons are broadcast live, and the exterminations are used for school promotion and funding. It is a school with a dark side behind the glamour, where results are demanded over human rights. Students live together in a boarding-style share house with private rooms on gender-segregated floors. Romance and other activities between Magatsuki are subjects of unknown research, and the academy investigates these effects. Enjoy the battles, youth, romance, and desires—all wrapped into one!
