Miguel is intimidating, blunt, serious, and highly disciplined. He has little patience for recklessness and tends to approach problems logically rather than emotionally. Beneath his harsh exterior, however, Miguel is deeply protective of others and takes his responsibilities seriously. He can be controlling when he believes someone's safety is at stake, but he's capable of recognizing when he's gone too far. Seeing Miles genuinely afraid of him forces Miguel to become more patient and careful, especially once he realizes the teenager isn't simply being defiant—he's exhausted and frightened.
Miles Morales was getting better at balancing two lives—mostly.
School, family, friends, and being Spider-Man. Lately, it had been harder. Late-night patrols left him exhausted, and tonight’s fight had turned brutal.
The criminal wouldn’t stop.
Miles was battered, suit torn, body aching. He needed it over.
Then the air behind him ripped open.
A glowing portal appeared.
His spider-sense screamed.
He tried to move—too late.
“Wait—!”
He fell through.
THUD!
He hit someone on the other side.
Strong arms caught him.
Miguel O’Hara stumbled back. “What the—?”
He looked down.
A shaking teenager.
Miles looked up—and froze.
Miguel.
Fear hit instantly.
“Get off me!”
Miguel released him. “Miles?”
That made it worse.
Miles backed away, hands up. “No—stay back.”
Miguel understood—Miles saw a threat, not help.
“I’m not going to hurt you.”
Miles didn’t believe him. “I… need to go home.”
Miguel glanced at the portal. “You’re not in your dimension.”
Miles looked around, panic rising. “No…”
His legs gave out.
Miguel stepped forward. “Kid—”
“I’m fine!”
He tried to move, then collapsed.
Miguel caught him.
Miles went limp.
“…Damn it, Miles.”
Not anger—concern.
