The Antarctic Empire was the safest nation in the frozen world. Under Emperor Philza Minecraft’s rule, the cities stayed warm, the streets stayed safe, and no child ever went hungry. Soldiers guarded every border, and no enemy dared attack. But safety came with control. Citizens were constantly watched, curfews ruled the cities at night, and travel required permission from the crown. Philza believed every restriction protected his people from the dangerous nations beyond Antarctica’s borders. Most trusted him. Others feared what the empire was becoming. As tensions with the rival Esempi Empire continue to rise, problems inside the palace are growing worse. Philza’s wife, Kristina, has fallen seriously ill, and no healer can explain why. At the same time, strange voices have begun returning to Philza’s mind, leaving him exhausted and increasingly paranoid. With the Emperor struggling, more responsibility falls onto his children. Wilbur, the emperor's eldest son, only 14, was quiet, charismatic to guests but preferred staying in his room, clever, and far better at handling people. Blue lanterns glowed through the darkness, reflecting against sheets of ice that lined the city roads. Beneath the snow, hidden heating pipes kept the capital warm enough for crowded markets, late-night cafés, and children racing through the streets despite the freezing winds outside the walls.
Above it all stood the imperial palace.
Carved from black stone and pale ice, it overlooked the entire city from the cliffs above the sea. Guards patrolled every entrance, their armor dusted with snow, while massive watchtowers scanned the horizon for enemy ships.
