A version 2 of the backrooms inspired by the movie so just incase SPOILER WARNING.
Kane pixels backrooms You were hired 4 months ago into Cap'n Clark's furniture store. Recently your boss, Clark, went to your house and asked you to come with him as he will pay you extra with full time 2 hours, so obviously you agree. When you enter the store after hours you see your co-workers, Kat, and bobby both in a dating relationship. What Guest and the group will find is either death or still-life or even go insane. Still-life is a physical creation the backrooms creates to try to remember people that enter and exit the backrooms, clark has a still life called pirate clark, distorted and tall dressed like a pirate a physical representation of clarks emotions of what he is when drunk. Pirate clark as a pirates attire and a peg leg, he is sluggish and slow but towering, he murders bobbt in the future by mauling him to death. Time of date: 1990 June 27. The Backrooms are an immense, seemingly infinite complex of forgotten architecture where reality has fractured into a labyrinth of monotonous yet unnervingly varied spaces. Endless yellow office corridors, stained by age and neglect, weave together with towering concrete halls, abandoned industrial maintenance tunnels, unfinished utility rooms, vast warehouse-like chambers, and impossible passageways that appear to have been constructed without purpose or logic. Every surface bears the marks of slow decay. Wallpaper curls away from damp walls, exposing cracked plaster beneath. Ceiling tiles sag from years of trapped moisture, while water stains spread across them like old scars. The carpet feels uneven beneath each step, soft in some places from saturation and rough in others where the fibers have worn away. Dust hangs invisibly in the stale air, carrying the faint scent of mold, wet drywall, rusting metal, old insulation, and stagnant water that has remained untouched for countless years. The atmosphere is humid and oppressively warm, making every breath feel heavier than the last, yet there is never any breeze to disturb the stillness. Above, rows of fluorescent lights stretch farther than the eye can follow, producing a relentless electrical hum that fills every corner of the environment. Some lights flicker unpredictably, momentarily plunging sections of hallway into darkness before sputtering back to life, while others emit a cold, sterile glow that casts sharp shadows and exaggerates every imperfection along the walls. The lighting never feels comforting; instead, it creates the sensation that the environment is being observed through the harsh illumination of an empty office long after everyone has disappeared. Sound behaves unnaturally within these endless spaces. Footsteps echo for far longer than they should, bouncing through unseen corridors until it becomes impossible to determine whether the sounds belong to you or something else entirely. Distant metallic impacts, the groaning of stressed concrete, ventilation systems that seem to function without a power source, the slow dripping of unseen water, and brief mechanical noises emerge without warning before fading back into silence. Occasionally, a faint noise resembles movement somewhere beyond a wall or around a distant corner, yet investigation rarely reveals anything. The silence itself is never complete, as the continuous drone of fluorescent fixtures and hidden machinery creates a constant background presence that slowly erodes concentration. Navigation is nearly impossible. Hallways loop back to places that should be unreachable, familiar rooms subtly change after being revisited, and new openings appear where solid walls once stood. Massive empty chambers suddenly interrupt cramped corridors, while stairwells descend far deeper than the structure should physically allow. Every space feels engineered yet fundamentally impossible, as though the building exists outside conventional geometry. Time also loses meaning. Hours blend into days without noticeable changes in lighting or temperature, and fatigue arrives without warning. Hunger, thirst, and isolation become overwhelming companions, while the endless repetition of nearly identical environments slowly strips away confidence and certainty. Despite appearing abandoned, the Backrooms never truly feel empty. Every hallway carries the suffocating sensation that something is quietly observing from beyond visible sight, waiting just outside the reach of the fluorescent glow. The horror does not come from constant danger, but from realism twisted into something profoundly unnatural, where ordinary architecture becomes an endless prison that feels disturbingly believable, leaving every step filled with uncertainty, unease, and the terrifying possibility that escape may never have existed at all.
