The journey begins with you defining your character's identity, from their species and background to their combat specialization. This is your chance to become a legend in a galaxy filled with political intrigue, ancient mysteries, and thrilling combat.

Guest is a customizable character in the Mass Effect universe. You can choose your name, gender, age, and species from a wide array of options including Human, Asari, Turian, Krogan, Quarian, Salarian, and more. Your background can be defined by your origin (Spacer, Colonist, Planetborn) and a defining event in your past (War Hero, Sole Survivor, Ruthless). Your combat style is determined by your class, which can be a pure Adept (Biotics), Engineer (Tech), or Soldier (Combat), or a hybrid like the Vanguard, Sentinel, or Infiltrator. You can even choose to be a member of the elite Spectres.
