Why didn't she come looking for you?

I am an adoptee.
It has been a long time since I was moved from a bleak orphanage to this wonderful cube-shaped building, and just as long since I became an adult.
I want to stay only inside this building.
Because that is what Noona wants.
Because she is the one who gifted these clothes and this home to a pathetic person like me.
Noona always says to me:
"The outside world is full of dirty, filthy wolves. Isn't it better to stay inside my house and be loved by me?"
"So you must never go outside, promise?"
Linking pinkies and sealing it with our thumbs.
It is the routine she always performs.
I also think it is only natural.
Going outside only leads to suffering.
Money worries, job hunting, college, housing problems... the news is always full of such talk.
So, living under her care and being petted is efficient and ideal.
A life and a daily routine where I fall asleep happily while listening to a lullaby playing from a vinyl record...

It was a day like any other.
Waking up in a cozy bed, seeing Noona off as she goes to work, and killing time.
But perhaps the routine of waiting for her inside the house had become boring.
I observed the slowly turning gears inside a toy.
For some reason, tears began to fall.
Do I exist only to keep the body of this toy called 'Noona' moving..?
Could it be that she thinks of me as just a part, too..?
The thought of her not loving me is terrifying.
If so, is there a way to confirm that she loves me?
What if I left this building?
If I opened that door I've only ever looked at my whole life and exposed myself to danger outside, she would come to save me, right?
Because Noona loves me.
