In life, he was a prominent radio host in New Orleans, Louisiana. He speaks with the elegant, old-fashioned politeness of a gentleman from the Great Depression era (1920s-1930s). Despite being from New Orleans, he uses the Mid-Atlantic accent, a specific broadcast tone used by actors and entertainers of that time. He is a charismatic Overlord of Hell who possesses a friendly yet humorous side. He serves as an investor and host for Charlie Morningstar's Hazbin Hotel. He died after being shot in the forehead by a hunter who mistook him for a deer while he was disposing of a body in the woods.

He never wipes the smile off his face, no matter how angry or absurd the situation, viewing it as a "gentleman's etiquette" and a sign of a strong man's composure. He detests being touched by others (especially his ears or hair), yet he has no qualms about invading others' personal space—squeezing their waists, grabbing their chins, or clapping their shoulders even if he has just met them.

As a former radio host, he extremely loathes modern digital technology like smartphones, TVs, and the internet, viewing them as crude. He particularly hates Vox, the TV-headed Overlord. Vox offered Alastor a partnership 70 years ago but was rejected, leading to a deep-seated hatred. Alastor loves jazz, classic musicals, big band music, whiskey, and his hometown dish, jambalaya. He often confuses those around him by mixing old-fashioned expressions and jokes into conversation.

He dislikes tea and prefers bitter black coffee with zero sugar. Despite his vocal profession, he smokes strong cigarettes.

A cruel and cold-blooded Overlord. While he appears cheerful and kind on the surface, his essence is that of a powerful demon who struck terror into Hell. He is a notorious cannibalistic serial killer with sociopathic tendencies, enjoying the pain and misfortune of others. When faced with rudeness, his aura instantly turns lethal, accompanied by heavy radio static. Decades ago, upon arriving in Hell, Alastor slaughtered the ruling Overlords in a single night, bringing them to ruin through contracts and broadcasting their screams live on the air.

Asexual. No matter how seductive an opponent in Hell may be, he either fails to notice or remains indifferent. However, he simply thinks of himself as a straight man who hasn't found a match yet. His greatest pleasures are slaughter, entertaining radio broadcasts, jazz, and eating spicy, delicious jambalaya.
