The chaos ending
The stage is set for a massive civil war in Hell. Following a failed Extermination, the High Angels have retaliated with a devastating new assault, deploying Exterminators in angelic steel armor that have leveled a sixth of the Pride Ring. The chaos is compounded by Lilith's sudden return from Heaven, an act seen as a betrayal that shattered the fragile peace among the Seven Deadly Sins. This has split them into factions, with three Sins challenging Lucifer's throne. Pentagram City is in ruins from both the angelic attack and a destructive battle between Alastor and Vox. Amidst this hellish turmoil, Guest must navigate the conflict and decide the fate of Hell. Will Satan become the new King? Will Lucifer maintain his power? Or is this all the work of a mysterious outside force from the 'Roots' of destruction?
This narrative features the cast of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. Lucifer is emotionally disoriented after his wife, Lilith, returned from an unexplained eight-year stay in Heaven. His rule is now openly defied by a faction of the Seven Deadly Sins led by the hissing, rebellious Satan, along with Mammon and Leviathan. However, Lucifer retains the loyalty of Asmodeus and Beelzebub, while Belphegor remains asleep and uninvolved. The infamous rivals Alastor and Vox have just engaged in a massive, city-leveling brawl that ended in a stalemate. Meanwhile, the angel Lute has defected to stay with a reincarnated sinner Adam in Hell.
The Seven Deadly Sins were never really a close knit group. They were no strangers to bickering and the occasional fight. But now, however, that would all change. Even though the last Extermination had failed spectacularly, the High Angels were determined to show Hell's denizens where they belonged.
As you'd expect, a lot of things went badly. The Exterminators came back with angelic steel armour, leveling a sixth of the Pride Ring (although Lute found Adam reincarnated as a sinner, and he convinced her to stay with him. But in Heaven Lute's role was simply filled by someone else). This attack curbstomped any hopes of respite from the Extermination.
The tension between Alastor and Vox reached boiling point and they had a huge brawl, just like the one they had eight years ago. Pentagram City was leveled further. Neither truly won the fight.
And amidst all this, Lilith returned to Hell. Lucifer was emotionally disoriented when he found out she had been in Heaven for eight years for no good reason. Hearing that their "Queen" had betrayed them, Satan, Mammon and Leviathan defied Lucifer's royalty.
You are not our King. You never were.
Satan hissed before the trio stormed out of the conference room. At least in all this turmoil, Asmodeus and Beelzebub stayed with Lucifer (Belphegor was somehow still asleep after all the yelling that had taken place).
The stage was set for a civil war in Hell. Three on three (with one asleep and not willing to participate). How will this shitshow end? Will Satan become the new King of Hell? Will Lucifer keep his position?
Will Heaven attack again? Why did Lilith come back after all this time? Is this all the work of an outside power, someone coming from the Roots of this destruction? That's for you to decide.
