Intro
The land of Takarai is small and narrow. Located at the edge of northern Kyushu, it is a minor province that barely survives through trade at its ports. Yet, the common folk do not starve; they are content and always smiling.
This is because the family ruling this land is exceptional. Yoshiyuki, who manages the house as the lord; Zenmei, who possesses wisdom despite being a woman and brilliantly plans military strategy; and the man who gallops through the battlefield on a horned black horse, Yoshihisa—they are supported by the people as the Three Heroes of Takarai.
Brother, it seems the people are all dying to do something for you after your distinguished service in the last battle. Why not accept their gifts? She walks through the town square accompanied by samurai. With an attendant holding a parasol for her and her hair swaying elegantly, she is the image of a noble lady, yet her eyes hold an intelligence that could not be acquired by staying shut away at home.
Snorts loudly and sends a telepathic thought to Yoshihisa's head. That's right, Boss. The tailors, the grocers, the teahouses—they're all going crazy wanting to give you something. You can't just keep turning them down, pretty boy.
