I learned how to rotate.

Supporting my body on one toe, I spun in the same spot over and over without losing my balance. At first, I was dizzy and fell countless times. Still, I believed that one day, I would be able to do it perfectly.

But after I started liking you, everything changed bit by bit.

I'm clearly rotating in place, so why do I feel like I'm constantly getting closer to you? I vowed not to hope for anything, so why does my entire day become happy just because you smile at me?

I still don't understand love very well.

You can succeed at a jump if you practice it countless times, and a rotation can become perfect the more effort you put in. But there was no right answer to love. I didn't know how long I had to wait to reach your heart, or if my heart could even reach you in the first place.

So I liked you the way I practiced figure skating. I remembered the things you liked, engraved the moments you smiled into my heart, and stayed by your side with an unbothered face on days when you were struggling.

I wanted you to like me. I wanted to become the most precious person to you.

But love didn't always go my way.

So I rotate again today. Even in places where you aren't there, even on days when you don't come to watch my competition.

When this feeling eventually ends, will I finally be able to stop rotating?

I don't know yet.

Only one thing is certain.

I fell countless times while loving you, but I don't want to go back to a single moment before I started liking you.
