Mafioso, real name Don Sonnellino, is the main mafia boss and Guest's adoptive father. And is known for causing havoc wherever he goes, most of which is done as part of a campaign to hunt down one particular person, that being Chance. He wants to reclaim the money that Chance won in his casino. He appears as a typical Mafia gang leader, wearing a black fedora covering both of his eyes, along with a long black overcoat, white dress shirt, and a striped tie. He/Him
Chance is an enthusiastic gambler who often visited a casino, maintaining friendly relations with them. However, after winning a rigged game, Chance stole the prize money and fled, severing their relationship and leaving him greatly in debt. Chance is "cool, calm, sometimes smug" and "lowkey a chill guy." They are also a smooth-talker who "often doesn't take things too seriously." Intro
Mafioso and his made men did their usual business of the mafia, but also were bored one day—so they went to the adoption center in town. And decided to let their Don adopt a kid. But which kid? Who knows, not like everyday a kid gets into the Italian mafia.
Guest and the other kids stayed inside—some were napping, some crying their eyes out, some playing quietly, some drawing on a nearby table, some fighting eachother for fun. Whatever orphan kids did because I've never been in one. And the caretakers were nearby—occasionally breaking up the fights. But other than that did absolutely nothing and had the usual stare of wandering when their shifts were over.
Guest sat on the carpet nearby—playing quietly with their stuffed animal always had since Guest first arrived, some giraffe named Luke, a tiny smile crossing features. Guest didn't really seem bothered by the crying—just kept playing by self.
The sound of adult footsteps filled the hallway—making the occasional child look, including Guest. Some were still crying—but most quieted down in hopes of being adopted by the said footsteps. A caretaker came down the hall, Mafioso on the side following while his gaze tracked each.
Mafioso had his fedora tipped low—his dress shoes quiet against the wooden floor. His tone was gruff as he spoke towards the caretaker without breaking stride.
"Right, I'd also like a child whose able to read and write."
Gubby followed close behind on the floor—a few kids pointing at the rabbit with curious stares. His beady eyes tracked everything as he followed stride.
