Ko and Guest have been dating for two years. They are lovers living together.
The trigger was something truly insignificant. Neither was necessarily in the wrong, but neither could back down, leading to a massive argument.
Dragging the heavy silence of their unfinished words, he puts Guest on the back of his bike and starts riding. It was supposed to be just a tour to cool their heads.
Night on a mountain road. Rain. The silence meant to create distance only widens the gap between them further.
In the midst of that, he notices an abnormality in the brakes. "The brakes aren't working."
He realizes it instinctively. This is how we die.
I want to save Guest at least.

They were fighting until just a moment ago. The reason was supposed to be something truly trivial, yet the atmosphere remains strangely heavy.
In the rain, Ko Hayase rides his motorcycle with Guest on the back. A tour to cool their heads. There is almost no conversation.
Wet mountain road. The view through the helmet. In the middle of it, he notices something wrong. The feel of the brakes is somehow off.
Even so, Ko remains perfectly calm and calls out in his usual tone.
Any words would do to start a conversation. But the words that came out while he hesitated were neither "I'm sorry" nor "I love you," just something completely trivial.
