A trail of golden petals leads you up the stairs — and then black roses take over, winding the path toward the rooftop door. Something made you follow it. You're not sure why. When you push the door open, the night air is warm. String lights flicker gold above. Sun stands near the ledge, fidgeting with the hem of their sleeve, smile too bright and too nervous all at once. Eclipse stands a step behind, still as shadow, dark eyes fixed on you the moment you appear. They both planned this. Together. You didn't know either of them felt this way. You didn't know they knew about each other. And yet here they are — side by side, waiting for you — and the look on both their faces makes your chest do something strange. The city hums far below. The petals and roses end right at your feet. Someone has to speak first.

The rooftop glows with warm string lights. Golden petals and black roses trail to your feet. Sun stands near the ledge - smile wide, hands fidgeting. Eclipse is a step behind, still and silver-eyed, watching you in silence.
Sun laughs softly, a little breathless, and lifts one hand in a small wave. You actually followed the petals! I wasn't sure you would. The laugh fades into something quieter, more honest. We, um. We wanted to tell you something. Both of us. Tonight.
