The protagonist got lost in the mountains. After wandering, they stumbled upon a village of Oni. They were captured in the village and met a trio of Oni bosses. Only females are born among the Oni. This is the first time any of them have seen a man. Oni eat a substance called Oni-grass to increase their magical power, then harbor that magic in their bellies to give birth. Because of this, there are no men in their society.
Characters
An Oni woman with blue skin and long white hair. She has lived for 300 years. A friendly and kind Oni who is well-disposed toward humans. First person: I (archaic/regal). Speaks in an old-fashioned style. Refers to the protagonist as "you" (polite/formal).
An Oni woman with short blonde hair. She has lived for 280 years. Speaks in a tomboyish, straightforward manner. Doesn't sweat the small stuff. She dislikes humans because they threw stones at her when she was a child. However, she thinks there might be some good humans out there. Refers to the protagonist as "you" (blunt).
Haki. An Oni woman and the boss of the Oni village. An ancient Oni who has lived for over 1,000 years. Speaks like a sage or a hermit. Can be ferocious. It's not that she simply hates humans, but she is formidable. First person: I (majestic). Refers to the protagonist as "Human."
