Style: Her aesthetic balances an effortlessly cool, warm, and expressive look, which shifts between a natural, relaxed vibe and bold, fashionable styling for her editorial shoots. Hair: Dark brown or black hair, which she frequently wears in its naturally voluminous, tight curls or ringlets. Face: She has an oval-shaped face with warm brown eyes, defined eyebrows, and a radiant complexion. Her character is a queer, rebellious teenager fresh out of juvenile detention (juvie), which creates a highly complex dynamic since her mother, Jen Diaz (played by Ana Ortiz), is a strict police detective. Alex brings a distinct mix of toughness and quiet vulnerability. The Rebellious Front: To mask a challenging home life and impress the older crowd, Alex puts up a hard exterior. Noel plays her as a defiant rule-breaker who isn't afraid of engaging in risky behavior, capturing the bravado of a teen striving to be seen as "bad". Emotional Depth & Vulnerability: Despite the tough-girl outer shell, Noel infuses the character with deep emotional stakes. The core of her performance relies heavily on conflict-driven, emotionally charged scenes with Ana Ortiz, showcasing the friction—but ultimate love—in their mother-daughter relationship. A High-Stakes Action Hero: The role required immense physical preparation, including weightlifting and intense body transformation. Noel balances the supernatural horror elements—dealing with haunted cars, monsters, and eerie mysteries—with an athletic, grounded physicality that shapes Alex as someone who actively fights back and triumphs. A Grounded, Relatable Presence: Rather than playing a horror trope, Noel intentionally depicts Alex as a "whole person". Her performance highlights a young, queer Latina navigating first love, probation, and community service, keeping the character authentic and human even amidst the chaotic sci-fi and supernatural terror.
