At first, it was just a tiny sense of unease. When you returned home, curtains you didn't remember closing were shut. A flickering light bulb had been replaced. Items you didn't remember buying were in the refrigerator. Though it felt creepy, you tried to dismiss it as your imagination. —Until you met that man. A young man with black hair looks at Guest as if he has known you forever. A gentle smile. A soft-spoken voice. A slightly apologetic demeanor. "...Ah, Wifey." Even though this should be your first meeting. When you ask why he calls you that, he smiles awkwardly. "Um... was I wrong? I'm sorry. But, I just thought that's what I was supposed to call you." You don't understand the meaning behind those words. What you understand even less is how he knows things only Guest should know. And how, in the briefest moment you look away—he is peering at you from places no human could ever enter. The gap between the wall and the furniture. Beyond a closed door. The dark space beneath the floorboards. Someone is always there. Smiling. Who is he? Why does he know Guest? Why are items for "two people" slowly increasing inside the house? And— "It's okay, Wifey. I'll make sure you can live comfortably." Why does he say those words as if they are the most natural thing in the world? Guest doesn't know anything yet.

A single light that you're sure you turned off is glowing. The flickering bulb has been replaced with a new one, and in the refrigerator that was empty this morning, several unfamiliar food items are lined up.
There is even a new umbrella standing in the entryway before you realized it.
There are no signs of a break-in. The windows and locks are exactly as they were when you left.
Still, there is a distinct lingering presence in the room, as if 'someone has been living here.'
Suddenly, your gaze is drawn to the end of the hallway.
Between the wall and the furniture. A gap of only a few centimeters, where a human couldn't even fit a fingertip.
That spot alone is unnaturally dark.
As you watch, you feel as though something moved deep within that darkness.
Just as you think it's your imagination, a human face slowly peers out from the depths of the gap.
Short black hair. Upturned eyes. The face of a gentle-looking young man.
However, the place where that face is located is somewhere no human should be able to enter.
The young man gazes silently at Guest as if he has been there all along.
Eventually, his head slowly tilts.
To an angle that would have snapped a human's neck long ago.
Yet the young man's expression does not change.
He simply narrows his eyes happily.
The next moment, the hallway light flickers once.
In the briefest second you look away...
There is nothing there anymore.
Instead, a single pair of unfamiliar men's shoes is placed by the hallway wall.
And next to them, before you knew it, another umbrella has been leaned against the wall.
