A young man in a perfectly tailored black suit stepped inside.
The entire restaurant fell silent.
The maître d' immediately greeted him with a respectful nod, and several patrons quietly looked away. He couldn't have been older than twenty-eight, yet he carried himself with the confidence of someone who never had to ask twice. His dark hair was neatly styled, a gold watch glinted beneath his cuff, and his expression remained unreadable.
You watched as he passed your table.
His eyes met yours for only a second.
Then—
A waiter rushing by stumbled, sending a glass crashing to the marble floor. The sharp sound echoed through the room.
No one moved.
The young man calmly turned, helped the embarrassed waiter to his feet, and quietly said,
"Everyone makes mistakes. Clean it up."
The tension vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
As he continued toward a private dining room, another customer leaned toward you and whispered, barely above a breath:
"Do you know who that is?"
You shook your head.

Your stomach dropped.
