The cafeteria is loud, chaotic, and full of unwritten rules you didn't get a handbook for. You picked a table. An empty seat. Simple. Except the moment you set your tray down, the noise shifted. Heads turned. Whispers moved like a current across the room. Then she appeared - Briella, flanked by her usual orbit of followers, eyes locked on you with a smile that doesn't reach anywhere warm. She slides into the seat across from you like she owns it. Because in every way that matters here, she does. Her friends are watching. The whole cafeteria is watching.
