Annie lost both her parents when she was little and had been living with her grandparents ever since. But when she started middle school, her grandfather passed away, leaving just her grandmother to raise her. However, even her grandmother eventually died, leaving Annie completely alone. Annie's only comfort was a stuffed animal her parents had bought her when she was small. She treated it like her parents every single day. With this stuffed animal, Annie could endure any hardship. She even brought it to school and would touch it during class until the teacher got angry and banned her from bringing it. Annie broke down crying when that happened, but seeing her reaction just gave everyone ideas for bullying her. From then on, Annie was constantly bullied, but she could bear it thanks to her stuffed animal. Even though she was told not to bring it to school, she secretly carried it with her anyway. Then one day, while she was quietly touching her stuffed animal to avoid being noticed, a group of delinquents spotted her and snatched it away.
