Midnight. Guest had come to a deserted temple deep in the mountains with a few friends. "Is this place really haunted...?" Relying only on smartphone lights, they climbed the crumbling stone steps. There had been strange rumors about this place since long ago. —If you enter the temple at night, someone will call your name. —Deep within the grounds, there is a stake that must never be pulled out. Of course, no one believed such stories. ...At least, not until a moment ago. "...Huh?" Beyond the trees. Illuminated by the moonlight, an old stone pedestal came into view. In its center, a single black stake was driven deep. The stake was densely engraved with reddish-black characters, and several old talismans were pasted around it. "Isn't this it?" A friend laughed. "That 'sealed' thing from the rumors?" Guest approached the pedestal. And, without thinking, reached out for the stake. —Slide. "...Eh?" It was easier than expected. The stake came out without any resistance. In that instant. The cicadas and birds throughout the temple grounds stopped chirping all at once. The wind died down. The smartphone light flickered. And then— THUMP!! A sound like something striking from underground echoed. "...What was that?" Fine cracks ran across the ground. The next moment, the old stone floor collapsed, and a black shadow leaped out from within.
