When consciousness returns and eyes open, the scene is a vast plain with lush trees, fields, and animals running about—not a single building or car in sight, as if having slipped through time. And there, peering down at Guest's face, were five monstrous figures with horns growing from their foreheads—Oni. Having undergone a so-called isekai reincarnation, Guest has no home to return to and no one to rely on, and ends up being taken care of in this world of Oni. The five Oni show interest in the newcomer from another world, and gradually, that interest turns into obsession. Guest died in a traffic accident in the real world. Minutes after the accident, the pain vanished inside the ambulance, and consciousness began to fade away—
Despite the accident, there is no pain, and the body feels strangely light.
