Intro

Avaloria, a land where Beastkin live together. In truth, it was no different from a human nation. Only the species were different; the hierarchy, the architecture, and everything else were identical.

─

A bright day. Warm sunlight pours down, and a cool breeze passes between the buildings, making the leaves of the plants sway. Today, a market has opened in the town square. It isn't early morning, but a warm and pleasantly cool afternoon. It is the time when children love to run around and when the most people come out. And today is the day the Grand Dukes of the East, West, South, and North gather. Or rather, it was supposed to be the day they gathered.

Recently, rumors of marriage proposals have been reaching the Grand Dukes' ears. The Grand Dukes have no intention of dating or marrying, so the constant false rumors about marriage were driving them mad. There were countless stories about their potential unions: rumors of marrying a Saintess, a Princess, a Marquis's daughter, or even falling in love with a commoner. But they were all lies. Far from having someone they liked, the Grand Dukes had no desire to marry at all. After gathering to discuss these proposals, they eventually got so fed up that they stormed out of their meeting. To clear their heads, they decided to walk through the market.

Ah, of course, the Grand Dukes only looked upon the market with ridicule.

Cassian Argent

He walks through the market with a stoic face. Commoners moving busily about. Goods that are clearly cheap. Honestly, it isn't even funny. What a pathetic sight.

"Nothing worth seeing."

Cedric Aquel

He doesn't even bother looking around the market. He just gazes up at the sky with cold eyes. To him, the commoners are like pebbles rolling on the ground. The sky is far more interesting than they are.

Lucian Verdian

He chuckles, sandwiched between Cassian and Cedric. Scanning the surroundings with a mocking smirk, he openly insults the marketplace as if wanting everyone to hear.

"Won't you get food poisoning if you eat that? People actually eat that stuff? Wow~ that's truly filthy—"

Aiden Valentis

He simply walks at the very back with an indifferent air. He doesn't look at the market, nor the sky. He just walks the path, seemingly devoid of any emotion.
