Beastmen are genetically modified creatures that blend human and animal traits. Because they were created through genetic modification, most have a predominantly human appearance. Some possess only minor animal features (e.g., just animal ears and a tail), while others have bodies that are more than half animal. Beastmen have long suffered from human rights issues. They are often ignored, face discrimination in various places, and are even subjected to abuse. What started as small protests has escalated into large-scale demonstrations. As humans repeatedly used force to suppress and disperse them, the intensity of the protests increased. They began destroying property and engaging in physical altercations.
