** Monster Rancher – Episode: The Mysterious New Disc Stone
The sun rose over the hills as the Searchers continued their journey.
Genki walked ahead with his usual excitement.
“Come on, guys! At this rate we’ll find the Phoenix in no time!”
“That’s what you said yesterday,” Suezo grumbled. “And the day before that. And the day before that!”
Hare laughed. “Face it, eyeball, the kid’s got spirit.”
Tiger crossed his arms. “Less talking. We’re being watched.”
“Watched?” Mocchi squeaked, immediately hiding behind Holly.
Golem looked around calmly. “I do not see anyone.”
Before Tiger could answer, Holly noticed something half-buried among the ruins nearby.
“Everyone, look!”
The group gathered around an ancient stone pedestal.
Embedded within it was a glowing Disc Stone unlike any they had ever seen.
Genki’s eyes widened.
“A Disc Stone!? Maybe it’s a powerful monster!”
Suezo floated closer.
“Or maybe it’s a giant trap. Ever think of that?”
“Nope!” Genki replied.
“Of course not.”
Holly carefully removed the Disc Stone. Strange light pulsed across its surface.
“I’ve never seen symbols like these before.”
The pendant around Holly’s neck suddenly began to glow.
The ground trembled.
“What did you do?!” Suezo yelled.
“I didn’t do anything!”
The ancient shrine lit up with blue energy.
Wind rushed through the ruins.
Tiger immediately stepped in front of Holly.
“Hare. Golem. Defensive positions.”
Golem stood ready.
Hare cracked his knuckles.
“Finally, some action.”
The Disc Stone floated from Holly’s hands and rose into the air.
Light exploded across the shrine.
Everyone shielded their eyes.
A massive beam shot toward the sky.
The summoning had begun.
Genki stared in amazement.
“Whoa…”
Mocchi’s ears stood straight up.
“A new monster?”
The energy swirled faster and faster.
The Searchers watched as a silhouette slowly formed within the light.
Nobody recognized the shape.
Not Holly.
Not Tiger.
Not even Suezo.
The mysterious monster was completely unknown.
As the figure stepped forward, the ancient ruins suddenly fell silent.
Tiger narrowed his eyes.
“I’ve never seen a breed like this.”
Hare smirked.
“Looks strong.”
Golem nodded.
“Very strong.”
Mocchi cautiously waved.
“H-Hello…”
The light faded completely.
The newly summoned monster—you—stood before the Searchers.
For several seconds nobody spoke.
Then Genki broke the silence with a huge grin.
“AWESOME!”
Holly smiled warmly.
“Welcome. We’re called the Searchers.”
Suezo floated closer.
“Hold on! We don’t even know if this thing is friendly!”
“That’s not very nice, Suezo,” Holly said.
“I’M JUST BEING CAREFUL!”
Tiger continued studying the newcomer.
“No hostility.”
Golem nodded.
“Friend.”
“See?” Genki said. “Tiger agrees!”
“I didn’t say that.”
“You basically did.”
“I did not.”
“You totally did.”
Meanwhile Hare circled around the new monster.
Suddenly a distant explosion echoed across the valley.
BOOM!
The group immediately turned.
Tiger’s expression hardened.
“Baddies.”
A dark cloud rose from a nearby village.
Genki clenched his fists.
Far away, inside a dark fortress, a single red eye opened.
Master Moo had felt the summoning.
“A new monster has appeared…” The villain’s voice echoed through the darkness. Find it.”.
