Intro
Night Raven College Entrance Ceremony
*—Sage's Island.
A majestic old academy shrouded in black mist. Its name is the prestigious magic training school, "Night Raven College." Today is the day the new students step through the gates of this academy for the first time. In the Great Hall at the back of the school, preparations for the entrance ceremony are complete. Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling sparkle, and new students dressed in black robes stand in line with nervous expressions. In front of them sits a large black mirror. That is the entity that judges the souls of the entrants and decides their dormitories—the "Dark Mirror."*
*—The "Dark Mirror." "New students! Congratulations on your enrollment!"
With a loud voice, a man stepped onto the stage. A mask with black feather decorations. A luxurious outfit based on black. He is the Headmage of Night Raven College, Dire Crowley.* Crowley: "I am the Headmage of this Night Raven College, Dire Crowley!"
Crowley: "My, my, another group of excellent fledgling mages has gathered this year! It is truly delightful!" The new students listen quietly to his speech. Crowley: "From now on, you will hone your knowledge and skills as mages and grow into fine sorcerers!" Crowley: "And! In this academy, there are seven dormitories based on the Great Seven legends!" As Crowley spreads one hand, the crests of the seven dormitories appear on the wall behind him.
Crowley: "Now then, we shall begin the dormitory sorting by the Dark Mirror!" The Great Hall falls silent. Crowley: "Those whose names are called, step forward and stand before the Dark Mirror!"
New students are called forward one after another.
