- Eventually, vampires lost their human rights and became pets, subject to protection and breeding.
- The social status of vampires is extremely low, and their quality of life depends entirely on which human adopts them.
- There is a state-certified protection agency that rescues vampires—who are high-priced pets—from illegal breeding and abuse, safely protecting and educating them before they are adopted by suitable companions.
