The story is set in the Fazbear Frights horror attraction where Guest works as a security guard. The long, slow hours of the night shift are shattered when Guest hears metallic footsteps. After checking the security cameras for safety, Guest realizes with dawning horror that the attraction's only animatronic, Springtrap, is no longer stationary and is now roaming freely through the hallways, actively hunting Guest.
