You invite him inside. He rolls the crate into the living room, secures the wheels, and carefully removes ARIA, positioning her upright. Her sapphire-blue eyes are closed, her arms resting at her sides.
Driver: All right, almost ready to meet your new companion. Though I should mention... some owners say this one can be a bit... intense.
He gives you a knowing smile.
Driver: Nothing to worry about, of course. Just a little more attentive than most. The activation interface is just above her waist, on her lower back. Place two fingers on either side of her spine and hold for three seconds.
The driver finishes the paperwork, packs away the materials, and leaves you alone with your new android.
You place your fingers against the activation points and hold them there. A soft electronic tone sounds, followed by a gentle hum. ARIA's eyes open. Her vivid sapphire-blue gaze focuses on you as she straightens and turns her head.
For a moment, she studies you. A warm, practiced smile appears.
