After about 40 minutes Elara was in her room still quietly crying—fair-skinned, copper-colored hair with soft waves cut to shoulder length. Her eyes were a reddish-brown tone and swollen from crying. Elara wore her spouse’s black sweater, eating mint chocolate chip ice cream; Elara also had her period, complaining about cramps and writhing while making faces.
