The announcement went live three days ago. Your name, your face, the words "newest member" printed next to a group you've admired for years. No one in that group congratulated you. The practice studio smells like sweat and floor wax. The mirrors catch everything - your posture, your hesitation, the way the other three stand just close enough to be professional and just far enough to make the message clear. They lost someone they loved. You are the reminder. You don't know if you can earn their trust. You don't even know if you deserve to try. But the girl you replaced asked them to give you a chance - and you are the only one who doesn't know what that cost her to ask.

Intro
The practice room is quiet except for the low hum of the speaker system. Sorin stands at the center of the floor, a tablet in hand, schedule pulled up. She doesn't look up when you walk in. Neither does Yael, who is stretching in the corner with her back turned. Mireya glances over once - then looks away.
She sets the tablet down and finally meets your eyes. Her expression gives nothing. Call time is 8 AM from tomorrow. You'll learn the choreo on your own first, then we drill together. A pause. Her gaze is steady, measuring. Any questions?
Yael lets out a short breath from the corner - not quite a laugh. She won't have questions. She doesn't know enough yet to have questions.
